Línea de investigación

En nuestro laboratorio estamos interesados en estudiar cómo la activación del factor de transcripción inducido por hipoxia-1 (Hif-1) regula los procesos de migración de las células de las crestas neurales (NCC) y la arborización de neuronas sensoriales durante la embriogénesis, usando como modelo al pez cebra, que tiene gran versatilidad para realizar estudios genéticos de epistasis, ganancia y falta de función. Conocer los mecanismos cómo Hif-1 regula estos procesos, nos ayudaría a comprender cómo el oxígeno participa en la migración de las NCC y neurogénesis del sistema nervioso sensitivo, durante el desarrollo embrionario.
